2011-2017 Honda Odyssey Spool Valve leaking by the dipstick. Refer to TSB 20-023. Avoid using any counterfeit Honda Spool Valve gaskets. Honda does not sell the part individually. The Dorman gasket is likely to be ineffective in the long term as well. Replace the upper part of the spool valve with P/N 15810-R70-A04. Follow the directions in TSB 20-023 (https://www.tsbsearch.com/Honda/20-023). Watch the video for details. The torque of 72 in-lbs must be symmetrical on the three 10mm bolts. Tighten them in a specific pattern and only to 72 in-lbs. These are very sensitive; if you don't have a wrench, consider renting one from the auto parts store.
Getting this done correctly is important to save your alternator and battery. Taking shortcuts with fake parts on eBay or the Dorman gasket (29082-06226571 or 918-056GS) will cost you an alternator and a battery. Purchase the spool valve from the dealership for $250 or negotiate it down to around $210.
Remember, Honda doesn't sell these gaskets individually; you must buy the entire spool valve. This is likely due to changes they made on the upper portion of the spool valve to alter the pressure or allow for a better seal. If it's leaking, do it the right way. Don't try both of the other options like I did. I burned up an alternator and battery and wasted a ton of time.
If it looks like you have an oil leak by the dipstick, this is likely your issue.
