Rubella is also called German measles. It can cause very serious negative consequences for children, adults and especially pregnant women.

Infection in pregnancy can cause defective child birth such as Defects cataracts and eye problems, heart; Blood diseases; Mental retardation, bone defects; Encephalitis to new born. Rubella symptoms are same as measles: first patient increases body temperature and pain in the head and then red rash appears and spread throughout the body and is not itchy grains. Due to absence of any drug or treatment protocol of rubella just symptomatic treatment of fever and pain can be given. Advice to rest, drink more liquid beverage. 10 day after infection infected person will recover without any serious damage. MMR vaccination is better way to prevent infection.
