The prototype of the Airbus A321XLR (F-WXLR) visited us for the first time today. I don't know what exactly was tested, it wasn't the brakes :-P You could see different spoiler options (with and without ailerons and without spoiler).
With 200 passengers, the Airbus A321XLR has a range of an amazing 8700 km. The take-off weight was increased to 101t to be able to carry the additional fuel weight. The A321LR and XLR is considered a replacement for the Boeing 757, but the A321LR and XLR cannot match the take off performance of the Boeing 757. The A321XLR needs a runway almost 3000 ft longer than the Boeing 757-200.
