Note :- I have use puffed barley to make it instant as they are already cooked and need no further cooking ...however if you don’t find it, than you can use barley flour and nicely roast it or boil it in water before using in the recipes.
TEXT RECIPES
BARLEY BANANA & COCOA SMOOTHIE /Shakes
Ingredients:-
3-4 TbspPuffed Barley Powder
1 medium banana
2 Tbsp cocoa powder
1 cup cow milk (cold)
1 tsp flax seeds powder
1/4 tsp Cinnamon powder (or cardamom powder)
Few drops of vanilla extract (Optional)
Soaked 6-7 almonds
Method :-
First grind the dry ingredients ( barley, flax, Cinnamon and cocoa)separately into powder.
Now in a blender blend banana with some milk until smooth. Now add the dry ingredients mix and rest of the milk and blend again. You can add more milk to suit your consistency.
BARELY SATTU STYLE SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:-
3-4 Tbsp barley
1/2 cup Curd (chilled)
Pink salt to taste
1/2 tsp roasted Cumin powder
Some black pepper powder
Water as required (cold)
Method:- Put all the ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth.
BARLEY MINT & CORIANDER FLAVOUR ( weight loss special)
Ingredients:-
3-4 Tbsp barley powder
1/2 cup fresh coriander
1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
Homemade Curd
Water as required
Pink salt to taste
1/2 tsp roasted Cumin powder
Method :-
In a grinder add mint and coriander leaves with some water and make a paste.
Now in a blender add the paste and rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth.
BARLEY MIX BERRIES SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:-
3-4 Tbsp barley powder
1/2 cup Dried cranberries & blackberries
1 tsp jaggery
1/2 cup homemade Curd (chilled)
Method :-
In a grinder add the berries and grind, scrape and add 2 Tbsp Curd and blend again.
Add the paste to the blender with rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth.
