A known limitation within the SOLIDWORKS drawing environment, is the ability to have predefined views populate on multiple drawing sheets. As of SOLIDWORKS 2022 - SP3.1, when utilizing a drawing template containing predefined views on multiple drawing sheets, only the predefined views on the last active drawing sheet will populate. All predefined views on inactive sheets will remain empty or unpopulated.
In this video tutorial, we show step-by-step how easy it is to create a simple macro that will defeat this limitation. The result is a single button click that automatically creates a drawing for an open part, using a prespecified multi-sheet drawing template with predefined views.
