Dragon Ball Super Beerus: Episode 2 Review

After years of criticism surrounding the original Battle of Gods adaptation, Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is revisiting the beginning of Dragon Ball Super with a fresh visual overhaul. Episode 2 puts the spotlight on Beerus and his overwhelming strength as he encounters Goku on King Kai's planet. Despite Goku possessing the incredible power of Super Saiyan 3, Beerus demonstrates why the Gods of Destruction operate on an entirely different level.

*One of the biggest highlights of Episode 2 is the FIXED Super Saiyan 3 Goku vs Beerus fight!* The original Dragon Ball Super adaptation received criticism for its inconsistent animation, character models, and overall visual quality. This updated version addresses those complaints by giving the confrontation a much-needed makeover, featuring cleaner character artwork, improved action sequences, more dynamic movement, and enhanced effects that make the battle feel far more impactful.

From Goku's transformation into Super Saiyan 3 to Beerus effortlessly demonstrating his superiority, the encounter serves as a reminder of just how enormous the power gap was between Goku and the God of Destruction during the beginning of Dragon Ball Super.

The remastered presentation also gives fans another opportunity to experience the early Battle of Gods storyline with updated visuals and a style more consistent with modern Dragon Ball animation. Beerus remains one of the most important characters introduced in Dragon Ball Super, and his first confrontation with Goku helped establish an entirely new hierarchy of power that would shape the franchise for years to come.

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus also offers an opportunity to revisit the differences between the original Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods movie and the 2015 Dragon Ball Super television adaptation.
