In this case study, we walk through our work at the Big Cajun II Power Plant in southern Louisiana — a site with over 300 acres of CCR and process water impoundments. We assumed the long-term environmental liability so the utility could keep operating the plant and stay focused on generating power.
This project was the first major initiative under our rebranded service line, Forsite Environmental Solutions, and it’s a strong example of how we help owners separate liabilities from operational assets.
We manage projects like this with an owner’s mindset, drawing on decades of experience in redevelopment and remediation. We’ve never had a liability return to a prior owner — and we’re proud of that track record.
