What's Up Guys Team Aqua Grunt: Spirit Crusher. We are here today and Wisdom of Sky and Sea featuring Lugia & Ho-Oh is finally here! So we decide to cram into a brand new deck idea. Bum bu da buh! I present to you the brand new Gyarados from set A4 Wisdom of Sky and Sea. WE play this with two of the brand new Delibirds as well as two Fishers. I initially also play this deck with Ducklett and Swanna to give our water type deck more damage output but lean towards favoring copies of Pyukumuku instead of Swanna and Ducklett. A solid water deck that is aggro and can win you any game with a little luck, but we will have to see just how good this deck is come Mantayke in the new A4b Secluded Springs set, and maybe even a Suiccone or two ? This Gyarados Delibird Pyukumuku Fisherman combo I would rate a solid 6/10 but with more help on the way this deck and Gyarados specifically could be a lot more viable in coming weeks.

Gyarados does 20 damage for 2 energy and has a solid 130 HP. But that's not all Gyarados does 20 damage plus 40 for each of your bench Pokémon you are willing to discard, a quite powerful trick indeed allowing Gyarados to do up to 140 damage by discarding the entire bench. This can be alright whatever maybe a problem but when we factor in Fisherman the trainer support card what we have is a real strategy. I also play fishing net to recall a singular basic pokemon to also help with said strategy.

We play Delibird and actually hope to start with this pokemon for its drawing ability. Also by being a basic and getting out there Delibird can help us draw cards and stall while we gear up for Gyarados. Pyukumuku basically can serve as the same type of pokemon a starting point and a buffer until we get to Gyarados, also both basic pokemon that can be discarded and then found again easily thanks to Fisher or fishing net.

I did try this with Ducklett and Swanna for the first match but it was a bit harder to find success with. Swanna having such low HP getting KO'd and then the 60 attack while is damage that can save us from having to discard pokemon in order to do said damage is just a bit of a waste and ends up like I said being KO'd so we waste a ramp and then loose a point. Also the problem with Swanna Ducklett can be that when using Fisherman when you find Swanna you can't place it to bolster Gyarados's discard so it really is a fail and much better to use Pyukumuku instead. Pyukmuku does not require energy to ramp and can simply be a land mine for your opponent so while it costs
