🇦🇪EXPO LAKE Camping and a Beautiful Morning 🌞 at SAIH AL SALAM DESERT | MIKAY TV

Описание: Hi, Guyz! Sharing with you our great camping experience at Dubai Expo 2020 Lake.

Expo Lake is a man-made lake built by the UAE’s Dubai Municipality in honour of the first expo in the Middle East, Africa and South Asian region. This is the first such exhibition hosted by an Arab country which welcomed 192 countries from around the world. The lake which is literally in the middle of the dessert is free to visit and is open 24/7.

Since it is located near the Arabian Oryx Viewing Platform, you will be lucky also to see some Oryx freely roaming around the area. Be careful and quiet if you don’t want to scare them away.

The aerial view of the site resembles the Dubai Expo 2020 logo which is comprised of lakes, trees and sand. The walkways made it accessible for visitors and campers to explore even if some areas are surrounded with water. Watching the beautiful sunset here is absolutely perfect.

The lake is rich with colourful kois, both big and small and you can see them everywhere you go. There are areas too where birds are flocking together so there’s a lot more to see and enjoy.

It is located near the Al Maktoum International Airport so kids and even the kids at heart will enjoy watching the airplanes flying in the sky, day and night.

Camping is fun! We love to grill so we brought some fish and meats. Roasted banana and corns are delicious too! And I find our marshmallows so tempting to eat when it turned out to smores.

Gathering around the bonfire is a good bonding time for us to share stories and bloopers. By the way, be careful not to burn woods on the ground. This is forbidden and you will get fined when caught.

The next morning is a beautiful one. The temperature is colder and more peaceful compared at night time as most of the campers left so early. A morning walk along the lake is great while watching those fish splashing around.

The sunrise is fascinating to watch too and playing with the sands is definitely one of those treats that I will not fail to do. This is a lot of fun!

Expo Lake is a perfect spot for family camping or picnic especially for those with smaller kids. Washrooms are available near the main entrance where some families find it more comfortable to pitch their tents. If you prefer a bit of silence or be far from the crowd, the site is so big and you can choose where to camp. There are designated areas for car parking so you have to find ways how to carry your stuff. Be ready for that, Guyz!

Expo Lake is not new to us but it is our first time camping here and of course, will always be a memorable one!
