Toyota Hilux SR5: The Ultimate Adventure Vehicle

Описание: More engine output and towing capacity have been added to the mid- and high-grade diesel 4x4 versions of the Toyota Hilux, bringing them closer in line with the best features of the Ford Ranger, which has been competing head-to-head with the Toyota Hilux for the title of best-selling vehicle in Australia for the past three years.

The suspension of the Toyota Hilux, more notably the ride quality while it is unladen, has been improved so that it is more pleasant to live with, and the steering systems of the 4x4 variants have been retuned so that they are simpler to operate in urban environments.
It adopts a more aggressive 'family' style, as has been the norm with the recently revised RAV4 and Corolla lines, and it has a broader, bolder grille in most of its variations, which was influenced by Toyota's American truck range. It also features reworked headlights and taillights.
Additionally, it has mirroring for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (in addition to knobs for adjusting the volume and the tune), which pushes Toyota's entertainment system one giant step closer to the norm in terms of its use and accessibility.

Luckily for us, we were able to get our hands on the SR5 Double Cab chassis, which is one of the two new versions that are part of the 33-version strong launch stable. You can now get a two-row tray-back Hilux that comes fully equipped with all of the high-end 'lifestyle' embellishments. This model is available alongside the top-of-the-line SR5+.

When shopping for an upscale pickup truck, look for features such as chrome accents, alloy wheels of 18 inches in diameter with 265-millimeter tyres, LED auto-leveling headlights, daytime running lights, and fog lights. The SR5 comes standard with side steps and electronic folding mirrors (which may be operated manually), but the cab chassis does not have a reversing camera or six-sonar proximity sensors as the pickup variants do. These features are only available on the pickup models. Full-sized, with a rim made of alloy that matches the rest of the vehicle.
Aside from the tray format, there is not much new on the exterior. On the inside, though, the most noticeable change is the infotainment system, which has been upgraded from a touchscreen measuring 7.0 inches to a bigger display measuring 8.0 inches and including dedicated short-cut buttons as well as tuning and volume knobs.

Plug-and-play Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now offered in addition to the proprietary Toyota app structure, which is either something you love or hate, and the new SR5 comes standard with DAB+ and an in-built satellite navigation system, just as its predecessor did.
In addition to the solitary USB port located up front, there is also a handy inclusion of twin 12-volt/120w outlets (located in the center stack) as well as a 220-volt/100w three-pin outlet (located in the console bin). There is some variation in the specification level. The SR5 is equipped with several great features, like a push-button start, a multi-function wheel, adaptive cruise control, an electronic Auto LSD, hill descent control, a 4.2-inch driver's screen with a digital speedometer, and one-touch operation for all of the electric windows.
