Gig Harbor couple shelters in place as fires, roadblocks unfold in Puerto Vallarta amid Cartel chaos

Описание: A Gig Harbor couple currently vacationing in Puerto Vallarta watched as chaos unfolded around their condominium in the streets of Mexico Sunday.

U.S. citizens are being urged to shelter in place, after a Mexican military operation killed the powerful leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, Nemesio Rubén Oseguera Cervantes, or “El Mencho." The killing of the drug lord set off several hours of roadblocks with burning vehicles in Jalisco and other states.

John Thompson and his wife have been vacationing in Puerto Vallarta since the beginning of January and woke up Sunday to fires and explosions happening around them.
