TRIP REPORT | Svalbard: The End of the World | Oslo to Svalbard (via Tromso) | SAS Airbus A320Neo

Описание: SAS Trip Report flying from Oslo to Svalbard (Longyearbyen) via Tromso on a beautiful summer day.

A once in a lifetime experience. I think that's the best way to describe this trip to Longyearbyen, located very very very far to the north of Norway, on the way to the North Pole. This is the northernmost commercial airport in the world. I don't know if I will ever come back here... but I'm sure I will never forget this trip.

After exploring Oslo airport and staying at the SAS Business Lounge, we boarded the first SAS A320Neo that would take us to Tromso. What a flight! An amazing journey over the fjords. An unforgettable experience that for sure I will repeat. After a stunning approach, we landed on time in Tromso.

The connecting time of 2 hours was more than enough at such a small airport like Tromso. The second plane was the one making the route Oslo-Tromso-Longyearbyen. It arrived on time as well. This second flight was a relatively quick hop over the Barents Sea. A flight to the very edge of the world, the northernmost commercial airport on Earth.

And we finally started our approach to Svalbard. Although the clouds didn't help at all, it was incredible to fly between those huge mountains. What a hostile environment but still so beautiful. It was just incredible. I don't have the words to express how I felt when landing in such a place like this one. Definitely a journey to remember!
