Dukes Nose via Wairaku Stream Hiking Track is a 10.8km out and back trail located near Kaeo and Totara North, Whangaroa Harbour, Northland, New Zealand that is rated moderate.
Walk in from the Totara North end or water Taxi into Lane Cove (Department of Conservation Hut). This 16 Bunk Hut is perched right on the waters edge and is bookable through the D.O.C website.

A DOC sign says 750m to Dukes Nose through Manuka scrub in a consistent but not overly steep climb to the base of the Dukes nose rock.
The last 50m or so is more rock climbing than hiking trail, so not for the faint hearted, but is aided with a very well constructed guide rail.
The Panoramic Views ontop of the Whangaroa Harbour is well worth the hard work.
