Aim: To complete as many leading passes as possible to a moving player.
Rules:
1. Score by passing the disc to a player running toward the cone
2. Cutting player must be moving while they catch
3. Once the cutter catches the disc, they will go to the back of the throwing line
4. Keep track of how many successful passes you make as a group
Learning Outcomes / Focus Points
1. Throwing leading passes that cutters can run onto
2. Catching at speed
3. Staying low and accelerating out of the cut using stutter steps
Ways of conditioning rules:
o Can only score if the runner is at or close to top speed
o Add a mark on the thrower
o Must score with a particular throw (backhand/forehand)
o Only one handed catches
Cues/Tactical Questions:
"Why is it important to throw in front of someone?"
"Why do we want to make sure we make small steps before turning?"
"Are big rounded cuts better than sharp ones?"
