I went to Dunnottar Castle near Stonehaven to find some footage on my DJI Flip Drone.
The ruins stand atop 160ft cliffs just south of Stonehaven.
The buildings that survive today are from the 15th century, but the sight is believed to date back to the early middle ages.
The Scottish Crown Jewels were hidden there from Oliver Cromwell's army in the 17th century.
William Wallace is said to have captured Dunnottar from the English in 1297, and Mary Queen of Scots has also visited there in 1562......
Parts of the 1990 film Hamlet, starring Mel Gibson and Glenn Close were filmed there.
