Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on the Modi government and EAM S. Jaishankar during the Operation Sindoor debate on Tuesday.
Accusing Jaishankar of being on some other "planet" and unaware of India's diplomatic failures in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor, the Congress leader highlighted Pakistani Field Marshal Asim Munir's lunch date with Donald Trump at the White House last month.
Gandhi said that while Indian delegations were busy "running around" the globe to expose Pakistan's terrorism, the US President was lunching with Munir and US General Michael Kurilla was holding multilateral conferences on how to help Pakistan "fight terrorism".
The Leader of the Opposition added that, despite India's extensive diplomatic outreach, not a single country had explicitly condemned Pakistan for the dastardly Pahalgam attack on 22 April.
As such, he questioned whether Jaishankar, who touted India's diplomatic endeavours as "successful", was living in the same universe as the rest of the country: "I mean, which planet is the foreign minister sitting on?! Please, come down! I don't know where you are, but come down! You've flown off somewhere!"
