Arknights: Endfield version 1.6 is here and with it comes “Sanctuary of Ink,” a slower, cozier update built around a countryside inn and a farming system that has been rebuilt from the ground up.

The story takes you into Si’s Painting, a new region inside a landscape painting. Si, the update’s new 6-star Cryo Supporter, takes in the injured Endministrator at Yuanyuan Manor Inn, a home she painted herself. The new mode, Yuanyuan’s Blazing Stoves, turns that inn into a management sim. You till fields, raise animals, plan menus, prep ingredients, greet guests and serve their orders. Serving guests in a row builds your Stove Fire gauge and raises the inn’s star rating. The rating unlocks new recipes, themes, extra farmland and more animal pens, and your earnings go back into expanding the farm and inn. Unlike a typical limited-time event, the inn mode stays in the game after the launch event ends.

The inn is supplied by the farm, so farming got a full overhaul to match. You can now manage crops in a top-down view and place plots directly next to each other with no gaps. Operators apply fertilizer for you, which is much faster. The new Auto-Farmer handles planting and harvesting remotely, and it extends to the Wuling City farming area as you progress through the story, which cuts down on the daily chores.
