The Roman metro is run by ATAC (Azienda per la mobilità di Roma Capitale). It first started operating in 1955. There are three metro lines (A, B and C). Lines A and B both go to Roma Termini station from where you can take trains to all over Italy and even Switzerland, Austria and Germany. Metro line B takes you to the Colosseum. Metro line A takes you to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Vatican City. A day-pass is €7 and a 3-day pass is €18.
Rome is as you may know the capital city of Italy and is located in the Lazio region. Attractions you can visit are the Colosseum, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain. You can also visit Vatican City and go to the Vatican Museums to see the Michelangelo and also go in the Saint-Peter's Basilica. In Rome you can of course eat Italian food like Pizza, Pasta, Bruschetta. I recommend the Cacio e Pepe if you love pasta and cheese.
