this tree is easy to identify (it is with insider knowledge 👀) as I know this tree well and have seen it through the seasons 👍

horse chestnuts seeds are not edible but can be used to play 'conkers'

a school playground game traditionally played in the UK by children

the idea is that 2 children have a conker each (brown horse chestnut seed) with a hole drilled through it on a string approx 30cm long

each child takes turns to swing their conker very fast aiming to hit the appointments conker that is being held out by them at arms length

the 2 players take it in turns to bash each others conkers until one breaks off the string

the winner is the player with a whole or part conker still on their string when their opponent has an empty string

the winner would count the number of consecutive wins and add them up - keeping a grand total

their conker would be know as an 8-ter having won 8 games and so on

if you beat a 10-er you get the +10 added to your grand total
