Try this amazing Drunken Maryland Crab Cake with Cream of crab soup. For this recipe I made an authentic Maryland lump Crab cake and placed the crab cake on top of some homemade cream of crab soup. Here's the shopping List and Measurments:
Maryland Crab Cake Mixture:
1Ib. lump Crab Meat
1/2 tbsp. Old Bay Seasoning - To your taste
1 egg
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. Mayonnaise
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. Mustard - yellow/dijon or both
1 tbsp butter for each crab indiviual crab cake
1 tbsp. Parsley flakes
1/2 c. Breadcrumbs or Ritz crackers, finely crushed
1 tsp. Lemon Juice
Maryland Cream of Crab Soup:
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
1 medium onion, coarsely chopped (about 1 cup)
2 tbsp minced garlic
1/3 cup flour
3 tbsp Old Bay seasoning, adjust as desired
1/2 tbsp parsley flakes,
2 cups whole milk
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 pound lump crabmeat
3 tablespoons dry sherry or cooking sherry (optional)
Tips:
Cook the cream of crab on medium high heat, then turn down the heat to simmer to allow the the cream of crab to thicken
For the crab cakes please allow the crab cakes to rest in the fridge for about 30mins before broiling.
Broil the Crab Cakes on low for about 12-15mins until golden brown. You can also Air fry this crab cakes if you like.
