Letter of the Week: Exploring the Letter Aa 📚🍎

Welcome to our Letter of the Week series! In this video, we’re diving into our activities for the first letter of the alphabet: Aa. We used a variety of toys and educational resources to create a fun, hands-on learning experience.

A quick note: our 2.5-year-old has been joining in on homeschool activities since she was 1. As a result, she's able to stay engaged for longer periods, follow directions, and has developed a pretty good attention span for her age. Remember, these skills took time to develop and every lesson is a unique experience.

I let her learn at her own pace and explore the activities freely, even though I had structured lessons planned. Her natural curiosity sometimes led us in unexpected directions!

While this lesson introduces the letter A, she’s already familiar with it due to her older siblings. I make sure to communicate frequently, narrate our activities, and repeat her words to support her speech, sentence structure, and vocabulary development.

I also adapt activities in different ways to fit her learning style and keep her engaged.
