(4-0) Archbishop Riordan hosts (2-2) Serra in a Saturday afternoon game at City College San Francisco. This was certainly an offensive game. Both teams put up big numbers in the first quarter alone, nine touchdowns to be exact.
Serra would get on the board first after a 45-yard touchdown run by quarterback Leki Nunn. Star running back, Kelepi Lataimua racked up 123-yards on 18 carries and one touchdown. However, the Padre defense couldn’t keep up with the speed of the Crusaders.
Riordan quarterback Jacky Luavasa had an impressive game going 15 of 20 for 313-yards and five touchdowns. Luavasa’s 313-yards is the third most in a single game for Riordan. The qb found Adian Verba-Hamilton four different times for touchdowns. Running back Raymone Sanders ran for 187-yards on 13 carries and three touchdowns.
Archbishop Riordan is now 5-0 and will face (4-1) Bellarmine next week at Terra Nova high school.
