Описание: Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the Lok Sabha during a debate on the no-confidence motion against Speaker Om Birla in March 2026.

During his speech, Amit Shah pointed out several procedural mistakes in the notice submitted by Congress MP K. C. Venugopal and 119 other opposition members.

He said the document incorrectly mentioned the year as 2025 instead of 2026 and also lacked a proper copy of the resolution. According to Shah, the Speaker’s office gave the opposition a chance to correct the errors, including issues related to photocopied signatures on the notice.

Addressing allegations about microphones being switched off in Parliament, Shah stated that the rule applies to everyone. He said that if any member violates discipline, the mic is cut off, even for ministers like Giriraj Singh.
