There seems to be no end in sight for South Africa-United States tensions. In the latest episode, one U.S. Congressman, Ronny Jackson, has proposed legislation to sanction South Africa over what he says are its ties with Russia, China and Iran. The legislation accuses Pretoria of having brazenly abandoned its relationship with the United States and calls for serious consequences. Prof Christopher Isike has more on what this will mean if the legislation is passed.
