Is Air India worth the extra over IndiGo?

But flying Air India right now is a total gamble. While I managed to snag an ex-Vistara A321neo with lie-flat seats in the front and better padding in the back, many other flights are still operated by older aircraft or new ones without seatback screens. IndiGo on the other hand, is basic but you know exactly what you’re getting every single time.

I have flown both airlines back to back to compare the Air India Vistara hybrid experience against the low cost king IndiGo, dealing with everything from a medical emergency delay to a nightmare seat mate who didn't understand personal space.
