Last December, Blackrock and SolarBuddy distributed 900 lights to three schools in Chatsworth, Zimbabwe.
In Zimbabwe, only 40% of the country has access to electricity. Access is vastly affected by socio-economic and political factors.
On the last day of the school year, Chatsworth Primary, Chatswoth Secondary and Gert Nel Primary came together to receive their SolarBuddy lights. The solar light will allow the students to safely study after dusk and help improve their educational outcomes.
900 lights received, 4500 lives impacted, countless illuminated futures. This wouldn't have been possible without our corporate partner, Blackrock.
