The Blue Book is the official tutorial for the Yamaha CS1x, a synth from 1996.
I produced this book and demos together with Peter Krischker (Easy Sounds). Now let my play some of these tutorial voices. They are still good for learning the synth programming. And yes, you can use them as templates. You find both - the Blue Book (PDF) and the sound data (MIDI) for free.
