Описание: @NVHArchive – Sgt. Harold J Albanese served in the 1st. Special Service Force in Italy and southern France during WW II. The 1st. Special Service Force was an elite fighting group that was a combination of American and Canadian commandos. Harold’s toughest fighting was at Anzio. On one occasion he was struck by a bullet that hit him in the cartridge belt. The cartridge held and saved him from serious injury. In another action Harold turned his head and saw a bullet zip past his eyes. While his war stories were tough, his childhood stories were a lot of fun. Harold is another strong link in a beautiful family.
