The psalm begins with a solo accompanied by tenors and basses. The male voices repeat: “Blessed, blessed...”— “blazhenni, blazhenni”—two tenors and two basses per the pair of words, as if saints and angels reminding, trying to convince us: “Even if it doesn’t seem so to you, you are blessed, don’t forget this. You are blessed, blessed, blessed...” It would be helpful if each subsequent pair of tenors/basses sang from a different corner of the choir so that the reminder of blessedness comes from all directions. Because there is no doubt in it.

The sforzando piano marking in the 24th measure represents weeping, which itself is a form of blessedness. The transition to a major key in the 26th measure expresses the balm of comfort and reassurance that God grants to the sorrowful.

In measures 68–83, the sound should reflect a disharmony with God’s truth and commandments created by the expulsion of the innocent, slander, and gossip of the wicked against God's children.
