The body of Sgt. Nix has returned to Greensboro.
Law enforcement officers and citizens lined highway overpasses from Raleigh to Greensboro to pay respect to a fallen hero.
Multiple agencies assisted in the escort for the body of fallen Greensboro Police Sgt. Nix on Wednesday afternoon. His body was driven from the medical examiner's office in Raleigh to Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home in Greensboro.
