The holiday season is officially in full swing in the Rose City, as Portland illuminates its 75-foot-tall Christmas tree Friday night in Pioneer Courthouse Square!

This will be Portland’s 41st annual tree lighting ceremony. The free event features a sing-along and other special guest appearances, and is always held the day after Thanksgiving.
The tree was harvested in Timber, Oregon and was provided by Stimson Lumber. It first arrived in the city two weeks ago on a flatbed truck.
You can go see the tree at Pioneer Square through the holiday season.
