'Gresley Wows The Crowds' - Mid Hants Railway Autumn Steam Gala - 2025

On a windy, rainy weekend of October, The Watercress line held its autumn steam gala event. This year featured LNER A4 Pacific No. 60007 "Sir Nigel Gresley" and West Country rebuilt pacific No. 34059 "Sir Archibald Sinclair" as the stars of the show. Alongside the railways home fleet which saw LSWR S15 No. 30506 in its new BR Black livery as well as Merchant navy No. 35005 "Canadian Pacific" and Ivatt 2MT Tank No.41312 (not featured in this video).
The weather was hell, from intense gusts of wind to the p*ssing rain, it certainly wasn't ideal conditions for filming, but hopefully the shots I've been able to save are enjoyable. Nearly all shots are taken around Ropley as linesiding proved very difficult when the winds trying to blow me halfway to bournemouth haha.
