In Luke 5, Jesus is questioned for eating with Levi and others labeled as sinners. The scene raises a deeper question: Who is Jesus really for?
In this episode, we reflect on three kinds of people Jesus seems to invite toward himself — those who are spiritually curious, those who feel unsuccessful or stuck, and those who are outwardly successful but sense there must be more to life. Jesus’ response challenges the assumptions of the religious leaders and opens the door to a different way of understanding faith, belonging, and purpose.
This story invites us to consider where we might see ourselves, and whether we are open to the kind of life Jesus offers.
