The rainy season is still lingering across Bali, with the pattern lately being one cloudy-bright day followed by two days of steady rain. So if you’re planning a holiday in Bali, it’s always wise to carry an umbrella or a light raincoat — especially around Kuta.

Today, Kuta, Bali is once again soaked in rain. Despite the weather, tourism activity continues as usual. The streets remain busy with cars and motorbikes, and visitors are still out exploring this iconic beach town.

We begin our walking tour in Kuta at Beachwalk Shopping Centre, one of the most popular malls near Kuta Beach. After wandering through Beachwalk Mall and soaking in the atmosphere, we exit towards Pantai Kuta Street.

From there, we head south and take a quick look at Kuta Beach, the legendary stretch of sand that has attracted surfers and travellers from around the world for decades. Even under grey skies, Kuta Beach still has its own charm.

We then return to Pantai Kuta Street and continue walking east before turning right onto Bakungsari Street, a busy local road lined with shops, hotels, and eateries. Our walk continues until we reach Kartika Plaza Street, one of Kuta’s main roads known for its hotels, shopping centres, and tourist facilities.

We head south along Kartika Plaza Street and eventually enter Discovery Mall Kuta, where today’s rainy afternoon walk comes to an end at one of the most popular beachfront shopping destinations in the area.
