A Phase Change Diagram (sometimes simply called a "Heating Curve") is a graph which tells the story of a substance's temperature as heat was added to it or removed from it.
This type of graph can be very useful when you want to find out the mass of a substance (m), or its change in temperature (ΔT), or its specific heat capacity (c), or its heat of fusion or heat of vaporization (Hf) & (Hv), or how much thermal heat energy (Q) was added or removed from it.
Relevant equations for analyzing a Phase Change Diagram include the Specific Heat equation (Q=mcΔT) and the Latent Heat equations (Q=mHf) & (Q=mHv).
