For our customers that have monitored systems, there is a requirement to visit their premises, twice a year and perform onsite tests of the hardware. During that time, we check the standby batteries with a load test. We check warning devices (in this case the bell) in the Bell Box and Strobe outputs, Internal Speaker and Keypad Sounder.
We also check that the signals are received at the ARC in the order that we test and that each trigger is operating properly.
We now primarily install Texecom hardware but this was one of our older systems for smaller premises that we used to install.
More to come as we work hard to replace PSTN signalling equipment with PureIP technology in time for the great switch off in 2025.
