An overview of the construction of a 3-octave celesta using old piano parts. It was made at home without fancy equipment or particular skills, just by looking closely at pictures and experimenting / making mistakes. Who knows it could be useful to other diy instrument makers.
Additional info on the resonators:
In this first attempt I deduced measurements from images online by relating given cabinet size to the resonator chambers inside. I didn't do (Helmholtz resonator) calculations, just had some wooden boxes of various sizes to hear what would work best for different note pairs.
