This is not a competition between strings video. It is just a very well known set (D'Addario EJ45) compared to a not so well known set (Aquila Alabastro Normal) so you can hear differences in timbre to help you decide if you want to try it yourself.
Guitar: Vassilis Lazarides flamenco blanca
0:00 Recuerdos de la Alhambra (F. Tárrega)
2:20 Verano Porteño (A.Piazzolla)
3:20 Lagrima (F. Tárrega)
4:17 Adelita (F. Tárrega)
5:03 Prelude No.1 (H. Villa-Lobos)
6:38 Etude No.11 (H. Vila-Lobos)
7:59 Asturias (Leyenda) (Isaac Albéniz)
10:52 Vals No.3 (Agustín Barrios Mangoré)
12:10 Bronce Gitano (Sabicas)
14:32 Tango falseta (Jerónimo Maya)
What cannot be heard on the video (audio mostly):
Again Aquila is always very clear and precise in sound. The normal tension Alabastro has less volume than the EJ45 and the basses as obviously weaker. EJ45 has a better vibrato and a softer feel on the fingertips. Both sets have the same amount of ease on the left hand (e.g. for barring chords). This is flamenco guitar so buzzing is expected.
