Описание: The Duke Farms Story: A Legacy of Resilience
This nest, the most iconic in New Jersey, has inspired viewers worldwide since the live cam first launched in 2008.
The history of this site is defined by incredible resilience. In 2012, Superstorm Sandy completely destroyed the nest, yet the eagles returned the very next year to rebuild in the same tree. Even when part of the nest collapsed under its own weight in 2023, the pair didn't hesitate to repair it. Their legendary image—enduring freezing NJ winters and sitting perfectly still while buried in snow to keep their eggs warm—is a powerful symbol of nature’s strength.
The resident pair are seasoned veterans. The female (approx. 20 years old) has been observed in this area since the early 2000s and is a calm, experienced mother. The male (approx. 15-18 years old), though perhaps a more recent partner, is highly skilled and works in perfect harmony with her.
Having overcome countless obstacles, this resilient pair has now begun a new chapter with three precious eggs in 2026.
