Low cost laser diodes can be rated in the 10 to 20 hour range before they start losing optical power output. But NEJE claims to make laser units that last 10K hours. Since my laser engraver has gone week ever since I ran it at full power cutting some 3mm thick wood, I have ordered a new 30 watt "7.5 watts optical" NEJE laser head. Lets see how long it take to arrive and if it works plug and play with my Vigotec vg-L7 X 20w.
