🦅 STICKS AND FLYING ALL IN ONE!! 🪽🪵 Sandy and Luna packed TWO
key pre-fledge activities into one busy session today — playing
with big sticks AND practicing flight. Multi-tasking trouble
balls! Building grip + flight muscles all at once. 💪

📍 In this action-packed clip, Sandy (hatched April 4) and Luna
(hatched April 5) put in a full pre-fledge prep session. First
they played with big sticks — building beak coordination, grip
strength, and the nestoration skills they'll need as adults.
Then they transitioned into intense wing practice — building
flight muscles for fledge. Two critical skill-builds, one
hilarious play session. Our trouble balls don't waste a single
moment! 🦅

🦅 ABOUT JACKIE & SHADOW
Jackie and Shadow are the world-famous bald eagle pair of Big Bear
Valley, California. Their nest sits 145 feet high in a Jeffrey
Pine, monitored 24/7 by Friends of Big Bear Valley (FOBBV). Jackie
is believed to be the first bald eagle ever hatched and fledged in
Big Bear. Shadow won her over in 2018. Together they have raised
four eaglets to fledge: Simba, Spirit, Sunny, and Gizmo — and now
Sandy and Luna are following in their footsteps.
