Surfacing Contractors Australia was engaged to resurface the existing running track around the oval at Vale Park Primary School using our TrackMix athletics system. Working with an established, non‑standard alignment, our team first prepared the base, then installed concrete crossover pads at nominated vehicle access points to protect the track from damage.
We then installed the rubber base layer followed by the TrackMix wearing course, using a blend of blue EPDM rubber granules and black recycled SBR tyre rubber to create a bright, engaging surface. Line marking was completed with a centre line, finish lines and relay changeover marks at 100 m intervals.
The new TrackMix surface provides primary students with a more forgiving, consistent running track, while significantly reducing ongoing maintenance demands for school facilities staff.
