Our Arctic adventure took us to Kotzebue, Alaska — a remote town sitting above the Arctic Circle, where the Chukchi Sea freezes solid in winter. For three days, we set up on the ice in search of massive sheefish, the powerful “tarpon of the north,” and experienced life at the very top of the world.

Outfitted by Arctic Fishing Adventures with Lew Pagle, we spent our days surrounded by endless white horizons, drilling through ocean ice, and chasing the fish of a lifetime. Between bites, we shared traditional Inupiaq foods and got a look at life in one of Alaska’s most isolated communities. From catching giants to tasting local delicacies like muktuk, this trip offered more than we ever expected.
