Описание: Ashwini Sonawane wants to set an example that a woman officer working in a high risk area can bring a change in the lives of the locals through the system. She wants to set an example for all aspiring officers that positive change is inevitable, if their will is strong enough. Ashwini Sonawane is a Block Education Officer and the only woman officer working as a Block Education Officer (BEO) in Gadchiroli, a highly naxalite affected area in India . She was selected from the MPSC in 2012 , and has worked in different regions to increase the number of school children and the quality of education in those regions. She was a High School teacher who taught chemistry and math before she became a BEO This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
