Hip-hop Kunita is a documentary on the hip-hop dance scene in the city of Bangalore. Zuboo, a street Hip-hop dancer from Bangalore, who has been a part of this space for the past 10 years, explores the origins and the rise of the scene in this multicultural city.
We are all lost at some point in our life, desperate to find a path. Hip-hop throughout the globe has served this purpose. It started in the ghettos and has evolved into a culture. It has served to find a path for many lost individuals. Though Hip-Hop originated from New York, it also successfully inspired the city of Bangalore. Hip-Hop dancing, one of the major elements of hip-hop has seen the largest rise in this metropolitan city of India. The mix of the familiarity essence behind the growth of this community and the emotional essence behind the artists’ stories is portrayed in the film, Hip-Hop Kunita.
