Chasing Freedom | Scotland in Miniature – Isle of Arran Motorcycle Adventure

Описание: Scotland in Miniature lives up to its name. In this episode, I take the mighty Yamaha Tenere 700 on my first motorcycle adventure of the year, crossing to the Isle of Arran — one of Scotland’s most iconic and diverse islands — in search of freedom on two wheels.

The journey begins aboard the CalMac ferry from Claonaig to Lochranza, setting the tone for an unforgettable day of motorcycle travel in Scotland. From there, we ride along the twisting shoreline roads towards King’s Cave, soaking in epic coastal views, rugged landscapes, and an abundance of wildlife that makes Arran so special.

After realising the walk to the caves was more ambitious than planned, the adventure continues inland to the mysterious Machrie Moor Standing Stones, before rolling on to Blackwaterfoot, a beautiful and peaceful village on the west coast of the island.

From Blackwaterfoot, the route climbs over the mountains via the legendary B880, one of the most scenic roads on Arran, descending into Brodick where we capture Brodick Castle in all its glory, stop for lunch, and explore the beach.

The ride continues through Lamlash and Whiting Bay, hugging the coastline once again before stopping at the stunning Eos Mor Waterfall — a hidden gem and perfect pause on the journey.

To finish the day, we return to Lochranza Castle, watching the sunset over the mountains before boarding the ferry home — tired, grateful, and already planning the next adventure.
