Assorted Rubbish Trucks of Melbourn City - 12 different garbage trucks: NZ Rubbish Goes Travelling

Описание: The final of my adventure in Melbourne and while I was exploring, I got the chance to capture lots of different rubbish trucks throughout the city. A lot of these are short clips which have been stitched together to showcase 12 different trucks across the central business area.

One big regret I have (at the 3:02 mark in this video) was with Dennis rear loader as filmed outside the Melbourne Town Hall on Swanston Street. Looking though the camera at I could see the driver and passengers observing me and movements from inside the cab directed at me. I was thinking the worst and assumed they did not wish to be filmed so I kind of pretended I was not filming them but the tram behind. It was not until reviewing the footage that I noticed they were playing up for the camera and seemed like a really cool crew. If I knew, I might have been able to follow them down the street and got some cool footage; hindsight ay?

Another regret is filming at the overpass, looking down on Rout 20, Alexandra Avenue. I had just missed several different types of rubbish trucks and by the time I got set up I sadly only captured two more. I waited a while but no more came.

Unique to Melbourne is the "turning right from the left lane" rule around tram lines. Adelaide tried and abandoned this road rule approach. It took me as an observer a while to understand why and what was going on and can be witnessed with the last rubbish truck at 3:46 . Often traffic turning right pulls off to the left and waits for the lights on the opposite side of the intersection (90 degrees to their original path of travel) to change green before they move off, now at the front of the queue for that direction of travel.

All and all, a lovely city. Very easy to get around both day and night. If rubbish trucks, trams or light rail are your thing, Melbourne City is the place for you!
