Part two of the 09 KX85 project.
In this video we dive into splitting the cases and installing new crank bearings and seals, a new crankshaft, and replacing the top end on this engine.
This was necessary due to a poorly installed crank seal by a previous owner as well as my breaking the transmission side of the crank shaft during removal of a reverse thread nut.
My mistakes definitely made the project more difficult, but I’m happy we ended up doing the full rebuild and giving the next owner of this bike a much better engine build.
