The pandemic might be soon over (we hope at least), but there are so many other reasons to do solo practice of Aikido techniques.
First of all, you can practice the form itself without being preoccupied with the reactions of the uke. And through this practice you build so called muscle memory, which helps to execute techniques under stress without getting stuck.
You can also check which parts of a technique are less clear for you, especially if you can't use the uke to "guide you" through these difficult parts.
The solo practice allows to imagine different types of ukes and explore how you would adapt the technique in each case.
And - last but not least - you can keep practicing Aikido techniques outside of the dojo, for example during holidays ;)
