Abandoned Historical Boarding House Built in 1800s - Delaware County, Ohio

Описание: Today I am in Delaware County, Ohio, exploring an abandoned farmhouse that was built in the early 1800s. Research suggests that this is a historical farmhouse originally known as the Crist Tavern-Millworkers Boarding House and at one point provided housing to the workers at the Carpenter Mills near the Olentangy River. Later on the house would become a tavern and then in the early 2000s would become a single-family farmhouse. This house has now been sitting abandoned and rotting away since late 2009, as the most recent owner, unfortunately, would pass away.

Recently there has been local efforts by the Delaware County Historical Society to save the home and preserve it as a historical landmark. However there has been no updates as of recent if they were successful.

So, grab a snack, sit back, and join me as I take a walk back into the 1800s and explore what is inside and left of this farmhouse.
